Girls on the Run Summer Camp
This camp is offered in collaboration with Grand Junction Parks and Recreation. Girls are on the run this summer. If you are going into grades 3-6, you are invited to spend a week celebrating girls! The program includes developing healthy physical, social, and emotional habits through running, walking, stretching, teamwork activities and individual challenges, healthy eating, arts and crafts and other fun activities. Special highlights include Wednesday's field trip to Core Elements for a morning of supervised indoor rock climbing, and our Friday track meet and celebration. Field trip transportation will be via a school bus. Girls should wear comfortable clothes, shoes and sunscreen. They should also bring water and a lunch. Campers will be based at Lincoln Park Barn but may move throughout the park or to nearby schools. Registration will take place beginning in May.
